YOLA DÍA EMPOWERS LA WITH ALL-FEMALE LINEUP

YOLA DÍA, L.A.'s first women's festival in 20 years, sold out L.A. Historic Park on Sunday for its first inaugural run. The festival was created and headlined by Lykke Li, co-founder of YOLA Mezcal.

The all-female lineup was kicked off by a speech from renowned activist Dolores Huerta, who unveiled an art installation of one-of-a-kind flags that were auctioned off to benefit the ACLU.

Curated by Lykke Li, the rest of the day featured performances from Cat Power, Megan Thee Stallion, Courtney Love & The Chateau Band and more, with Lykke Li closing out the evening.

PLUS1 worked with YOLA DÍA's organizers to create a holistic social justice experience at the festival. Along with HeadCount registering festival goers to vote and the auctioned flags for the ACLU, $1 from every ticket sold went to The Downtown's Women's Center in L.A., an organization exclusively serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women.
