In making your Lollapalooza plans, make sure you're aware of the Nelarusky concert, now in its 13th year. Proceeds from the event—the first official Lollapalooza aftershow—benefit the Special Olympics. Downtown/Interscope artist Kali Uchis is set to headline.
Past performers have included Imagine Dragons, Alabama Shakes, Cold War Kids, Sylvan Esso, First Aid Kit, Jon Bellion, and many more. The 2019 iteration goes down 7/30 at Metro. More info can be found here.
Even if you're not making the annual Chicago pilgrimage, consider donating. It's a great cause, and if you work in this industry, odds are you could use the good karma.
