SiriusXM and Pandora have unveiled Pandora NOW, an original, exclusive music experience created for both SXM subscribers and Pandora listeners. We hear John Malone likes both.
Pandora NOW will harness Pandora’s extensive listener data along with SiriusXM’s curatorial expertise and will be delivered to audiences on both platforms, with SiriusXM listeners getting a newly curated channel (Channel 3), while Pandora users can experience Pandora NOW music as an interactive station complete with song skipping and thumbs up/down functionality.
"Pandora NOW will be an amazing new experience for both SiriusXM and Pandora listeners,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. “We’re excited to combine, for the first time, the wealth of Pandora listener data with the proven curation expertise of our SiriusXM team to give our combined 100 million listeners a truly unique and unprecedented listening experience."
To kick off the arrival of Pandora NOW, Right Hand/RCA's superstar singer Khalid dropped by the SiriusXM Studios in NYC today (4/3). His new album comes out this week, which is an amazing coincidence.
Khalid's music is among Pandora’s top trending tracks, and throughout this weekend Pandora NOW will feature several tracks from his highly anticipated sophomore album, Free Spirit (released on 4/5) along with the artist's newest single, “Out Of My Head” (featuring John Mayer).
Seen trying to remember which button launches the services and which one launches the missiles are (l-r) Alex White, VP of Content and Programming at Pandora, Khalid, and Scott Greenstein.
