THE NEWISH KIDS ON THE BLOCK

They may no longer be the newest kids on the block, but New Kids on the Block are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their career-defining debut album Hangin’ Tough with a rerelease on 3/8 via Sony Legacy. The reissue comes with three newly recorded tracks, “80s Baby,” “Boys In The Band,” and “The Way You Should Be Loved,” as well as five rare remix tracks in addition to the 10 original songs from the 1988 Grammy-nominated and AMA winning album.

NKOTB are also gearing up for their upcoming North American tour, The Mixtape Tour, which kicks off on 5/2 in Cincinatti and treks across 53 cities. The Faculty-repped group is bringing along fellow '90s kids Salt-N-Pepa, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson and Naughty By Nature.

With both veteran lads NKOTB and Backstreet Boys touring and releasing new music in 2019, the latter just having had a #1 album, it goes to show there’s something to be said about the longevity of “Boys” and “Kids.” The set for Hangin’ Tough (30th Anniversary Edition) will be available digitally, on CD, collectible 2-LP picture-disc vinyl and as an exclusive cassette.
