Drake is the most-streamed artist of 2018 on both Spotify and Apple Music, both of which have released their year-end lists. Scorpion and “God’s Plan” top their respective lists, and Drizzy’s dominance is underscored by Spotify’s reveal that he’s the platform’s most-streamed artist of all time.
Post Malone, XXXTentacion, J Balvin and Ed Sheeran (the most-streamed artist of 2017) occupy the rest of the Spotify Top 5.
Ariana Grande is Spotify’s most-streamed female artist globally, while Cardi B was the most-streamed female artist in the U.S., followed by Ariana, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Halsey.
Apple Music’s Breakout Artist of the Year is Juice WRLD, the Song of the Year is Cardi B f/Bad Bunny & J. Balvin’s “I Like It” and its Album of the Year is Kacey Musgraves’ “Golden Hour.”
