SONY MUSIC'S JOSHI UPPED TO CIO

Sony Music Entertainment has promoted Kirit Joshi to Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, charging him with overseeing the company’s worldwide information security and technology operations.

Based in New York, Joshi will report to Carmine Coppola, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sony Music Entertainment.

“Kirit is a highly experienced technology executive with a long track record of success in helping lead Sony Music’s technology strategy around the world,” Coppola said, crediting him with “creating successful industry partnerships and collaborations for driving digital standards and sharing technology capabilities.”

Most recently Senior VP of Worldwide IS&T, Joshi has served in various roles in the IS&T group over his 25 years with the company. His first order of business is to get the interns to stop slowing the computers by playing Fortnite all day.
