KANYE BREAKS A RECORD, SETS A DATE

Kanye West will drop a new project, titled YANDHI, on 9/29, the same day as his appearance on SNL's season premiere.

The announcement comes just as West & Lil Pump’s “I Love It” (G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam/Warner Bros.) set a new record for a hip-hop video on YouTube. The video was played more than 76m times in its first week, breaking the record set by Childish Gambino’s “This Is America.”

Whether the project is a full album or EP remains to be seen. The mini-disc jewel-case artwork is reminiscent of the Yeezus artwork, leading fans to believe it could be a return to complete-album Kanye, and many are already referring to it as the follow-up to Yeezus.

West has mentioned many projects of late, tweeting about a potential Watch the Throne 2 coming and announcing that his collaboration album with Chance the Rapper, Good Ass Job, is on the way as well.

And admit it, every time you say "Yandhi," you do it in Aunt Bee's voice.
