SONY LEGACY BEGINS PRINCE ROLLOUT

Legacy Recordings’ first round of Prince catalog digital releases begins today with 24 titles hitting streaming and download services. The Sony label has also created Prince Anthology: 1995-2010, a new collection of 37 tracks from the era.

Many of the albums are hard-to-find or out-of-print, chief among them The Gold Experience, Musicology and Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic. During the period, Prince was no longer associated with a major label and able to write, record and release his music at will.
