Fresh off the release of Scorpion, which torched the streaming space last week—and with the set's "In My Feelings" #1 at Spotify U.S., Apple Music and iTunes—Drake dropped another new cut over the weekend in the form of a freestyle called "Behind Barz."
Made in partnership with LinkUpTV, a popular U.K. rap platform based in London, the clip shows Drizzy revisiting his love of U.K. slang and taking some notable shots as well.
The track serves as a killer setup for a live appearance in the U.K, as Drake's set to be the surprise guest at the close of Wireless Festival Sunday night.
"Behind Barz" was replayed on Saturday's OVO Sound Radio Show on Beats 1, where Drake also spoke on-air about the last week and Scorpion, saying, "Feels good to be home, feels good to be back. I know I haven't checked in in a minute; I was working on the album. I want to say first and foremost I appreciate all the support, all the love. Yeah, it's been an incredible journey... It's nice to finally have it out and see all the reactions. I hope you guys enjoy it for the rest of the summer and the rest of the year."
