Disney and Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story dropped 65% from its opening weekend in a box office report suffering from June gloom.
Despite the disappointing numbers, Solo held onto #1, topping Deadpool 2 by more than $5m in ticket sales. The week’s newcomer, Adrift, debuts at #3 after earning a B at CinemaScore and an average of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.
