MAYER MAKES "LIGHT" OF IT ALL

The holiday weekend is upon us. To get into the right spirit, we suggest you take a look at John Mayer's latest video—for the No I.D.-produced "New Light" (Snack Money)—if you haven't already. And if you have, just watch it again. Shit's funny.

"I needed to make a video for New Light but nobody could agree on a budget. (MUSIC INDUSTRY amirite?)," shared Mayer (or Mayor as it's depicted on the title card). "So I went to a place downtown and made this with a company that usually does birthday and Bar Mitzvah videos."

The clip, which is incredibly tongue-in-cheek, relies primarily on green screen (and the Columbia star's goofball antics).
