TOP MONEYMAKERS:
THE $3.3M MAN

Post Malone’s beerbongs & Bentleys record-breaking streams naturally resulted in truckloads of money, dramatically reflected on our latest Songs Revenue Chart. In all, the 19 tracks that made the Top 50 generated $3,365,995 during the week ending 5/3, while Post’s label, Republic, took in $4,028,634. Obviously, we don’t see seven-figure one-week tallies like these very often.

Zeroing in, Post has taken over 90% of the Top 10 slots, with labelmate Drake’s new “Nice for What” occupying the #3 slot. Further, there are 16 beerbong tracks in the Top 20, the others being Drake again at #14 with “God’s Plan,” Cardi B et al’s “I Like It” (Atlantic) at #18 and the title cut from J. Cole’s KOD (Dreamville/Roc Nation/Interscope) at #19.

You’d expect this utter domination to be reflected in the marketshare breakdown for the week—and you would be absolutely correct.

Marketshare splits: UMG 83%, WMG 13%, Sony Music 4%
