SPOTIFY RISES TO
THE OCCASION

Spotify is launching the new wave of its RISE artist-development discovery program, which spotlights and goes behind the scenes with up-and-comers from across the genre spectrum. The four selected acts are LANCO, Jorja Smith, Latin vocalist Karol G and indie singer/songwriter Rex Orange County.

Each of the four emerging artists will get a two-week window of exposure via a dedicated multimedia RISE playlist, along with slots on various ongoing playlists and editorial channels. Buzzing country band LANCO is up first.

“When we were kids, putting together our first band and writing our first songs, our dream was to be able to eventually play them for people,” says frontman Brandon Lancaster. “Spotify RISE is helping us make that dream a reality. By telling our stories through our music and through our entire creative process, we’re able to connect to our fans and grow the LANCO community in a deeper way than we could have ever imagined.”

The program also encompasses short-form documentary films (24 Hours on the RISE), original recording sessions with unique collaborators (RISE Recordings), live events and vertical video collaborations.
