ATLAS SHRUGGED (BUT TOOK THE PHOTO ANYWAY)

Tastemakers and industryites descended on the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery last night for Mind of a Genius/Warner Bros. artist Gallant's sold-out gig. The label's Chris Atlas did a great job of not rolling his eyes when HITS' Samantha Hissong told him that the event's location was very "on brand" for her.

The video for Gallant's newest single, "Gentleman," just surpassed half a million views. The song's currently featured on Spotify's The Newness playlist, and it recently appeared on the popular Alternative R&B and New Music Friday lists. And according to Hissong, his breathtaking vocals (and otherworldly falsetto) hit her harder than her souped-up weed pen.
