ALDEAN LP INITIALLY PREMIUM-ONLY

He'll Be Working Overtime on Street Week

Jason Aldean’s Rearview Town, due tomorrow via Broken Bow/BMG (4/13), will be premium-only for its first two weeks of release. Those using only the Spotify ad-supported tier will get the album on 4/27. Although Aldean is a co-owner of Tidal, his album will be available from all streaming services. He withheld his 2016 release, They Don't Know, from all streaming outlets for the first four weeks of release. Spotify's willingness to make the new release available to subscribers only for a windowed period indicates the shifting landscape.

Aldean will be doing a street-week media blitz behind his eighth studio effort, kicking things off by hosting an iHeartCountry Album Release Party tonight at 10pm EDT via iHeartCountry's YouTube channel. On Saturday and Sunday morning, he’ll co-host CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown at 9am EDT. The two-time reigning and current ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee will then return to Vegas to perform on the show, airing at 8pm EDT Sunday on CBS.

Aldean will perform his current hit "You Make It Easy” Monday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show; he’ll then head to NYC, where he’ll hit The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Tuesday and The Today Show Wednesday. He will wrap things up that evening at 6pm EDT with the SiriusXM Private Rearview Town Album Release Show on The Highway (Ch. 56) from the new Opry City Stage right there in the Big Apple.

And on the seventh day, he’ll rest.
