R.I.P. MIKE WHITED

Longtime promotion veteran Michael Whited passed away this weekend.

He began his music career in Pittsburgh working with storied record chain National Record Mart, promoter DiCesare-Engler and, as manager, longtime clients The Clarks. Mike transitioned to promo as Cincinnati local for Elektra and eventually became an L.A.-based VP. He also held posts at Priority Records and ARTISTdirect and served as both creator and host of the Doc Holiday’s WATUSI RODEO show before moving to Nashville to start AirAssault Entertainment.

Our condolences go out to his friends and family, especially his young son.

In lieu of flowers, Mike’s family would appreciate memorial contributions to Forever Changed International.

As Mike loved to say, “Buy the ticket, take the ride.”
