Our Contents Page VIP, meanwhile, is Tower Records founder Russ Solomon, who passed away on Oscar night at age 92. Russ not only changed the face of music retail and created its most enduring brand, but also helped shape the sensibilities of countless store employees around the world, many of whom later became prominent biz professionals and artists. We’ve lost a giant.
