DRAKE DOING GOD'S WORK WITH "GOD'S PLAN" VIDEO

Simply put, a demonstration of compassion, love, charity and leadership is the sentiment behind Drake's "God's Plan" video.

The clip begins with the message: “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.”

In the heartwarming new vid, directed by Karena Evans, we watch Drake move through Miami, Florida doing God's work: helping the less fortunate. A donation to a woman's shelter, a donation to a children's center, toys for a hundred kids, showing up at a grocery store and paying for everyone to fill their baskets, a 50K scholarship to a student, delivering much-needed cash to grandmothers, fathers, mothers. It's impossible to see these random acts of kindness without tearing up.

“We’re nothing without our mothers," he tells one recipient. "Gotta make sure you take care of your mom, too, no matter what you do. It’s all we got. Trust me. That's my world.”

There is something infinitely uplifting about watching a hip-hop artist roll up in a video with the obligatory stacks of cash—but then handing the stacks over to others, instead of holding them up to their ear.

Drake has once again rewritten the playbook. See the video below.
