TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

New singles from Cardi B, Jason Aldean, Migos and the team of Maren Morris, Zedd and Grey are grabbing the attention of Shazam users. So, too, is an oft-synched track that appeared on a recent episode of This Is Us.

Cardi B’s “Bartier Cardi” f/21 Savage (Atlantic) was released in December but it’s this week’s greatest gainer on the Shazam USA Top 100, rising 172 slots to #29.

Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” (Broken Bow) is having a good run in the week of its release, spiking 145 slots to #56, while another newbie, “Walk It Talk It” from Migos f/Drake (QC/Motown/Capitol) rises 106 slots to #95.

The track featured in Target’s ad during the Grammys telecast, “The Middle” from Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey (Interscope), has made an immediate impact, sitting in the Top 5 at iTunes and rising 131 slots to #70 on the Shazam 100.

A 2007 cut from Cinematic Orchestra, “To Build a Home” (Domino), has been used in at least 20 films and TV shows, among them Criminal Minds, One Tree Hill and Orange is the New Black. A placement on the 1/23 episode of NBC’s This is Us pushes it up 164 slots to #37.

The list of greatest gainers in the U.K., however is completely different, led by Justin Timberlake’s “Say Something” and Jaden Smith’s “Watch Me.” Led Zeppelin is also attracting thumbs in Blighty.
