Amid much online chatter about the exclusion of Lorde from the Grammy performance slate, show producer Ken Ehrlich and Recording Academy boss Neil Portnow gave us exclusive comments.
"It's always a matter of choices,” Ehrlich declared. “She had a great album and there's no way we can deal with everybody."
“We have a wealth of wishes every year and we have to have a balanced show,” said Portnow. “Everyone involved thought this was balanced. We can’t have every nominee perform. What you saw was our best judgment.”
