PEDAL TO THE METAL: ANDREW W.K. PAYS THE FINE

We all know that partying too hard can put you on the wrong side of the law. But sometimes it happens before you know it. U.K. motorist Luke Mitchell was driving along London's M4 recently while listening to BBC Radio 1; the Andrew W.K. jam "Music Is worth Living For" (from the album You're Not Alone, due out 3/2 via Bee & El/Sony Music) came on, and the sheer rocking grandeur of the tune caused Mitchell to put pedal to the metal.

Soon he was well past the speed limit, and the coppers pulled him over. Fortunately, the artist himself saw Mitchell's tweet about the incident and offered to pay his speeding ticket.

The story of how Andrew took responsibility for his "sonic party power" has gone viral, earning big pickup in the press and on various social networks.

Please note, however, that Andrew will not be paying for your bail if you get into real trouble.
