WEEK ONE: MEET THE NEW BOSSES

It’s not only a new year but a new dawn in the biz, as new major-label heads begin their reigns. As you read this, new Warner Bros. Co-Chairman/COO Tom Corson and new Def Jam CEO Paul Rosenberg are busily overseeing the setup of their offices, determining the location of the executive bathroom and learning the accustomed procedure for ordering lunch. New Columbia Chairman/CEO Ron Perry, meanwhile, starts Monday.

Oh, and they’re also doing, you know, label stuff, including making key decisions about their teams. Rosenberg, for example has just tapped Rich Isaacson as EVP/GM (about which more here). Stay tuned for updates on that score, as well as some juicy details about the supply closet.
