TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Gwen Stefani has been hanging the musical mistletoe this month and Shazam users have responded with a gift: Her version of “Silent Night” has shot into the Shazam Top 20 in the U.S. and the U.K., making it the week’s biggest gainer on both lists.

The track from her 2-month-old Interscope release You Make it Feel Like Christmas is up 183 slots to #18 stateside and 190 slots to #11 in Great Britain. It ascends on the chart the day her NBC special You Make it Feel Like Christmas airs—it’s on at 9 tonight—and comes on the heels of a performance for Shazam’s new owner, Apple, an appearance on Ellen and sharing holiday cooking tips with Williams-Sonoma.

Another Interscope artist, BØRNS, sees his most recent single, “Sweet Dreams,” rise 174 slots to #27 in the U.S. and 183 slots to #18 in Blighty. The song appeared in the film Flatliners which was released in theaters in late September, the same time the single came out.

Amine’s year-old multiplatinum hit “Caroline” (Republic) zooms up the chart 161 slots to #40 and Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Christmas Eve” makes its return to the chart as the group returns to touring arenas. QC/Motown’s Stefflon Don slips into the Top 5 as well.

In the U.K., a House of Fraser ad has pushed the Staple Singers’ 1970 obscurity “Who Took the Merry Out of Christmas” (Stax) to just below Stefani.
