TAG, THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Two uses of Disturbed’s version of Paul Simon’s “The Sound of Silence” on NBC’s The Blacklist have pushed the cover to #50 on Shazam USA Top 100, making it this week’s biggest mover.

The Reprise-released track, issued in December 2015, was used in the 11/1 and 11/15 episodes of the series.

Naughty Boy’s “Runnin’ (Lose It All)” f/Beyonce & Arrow Benjamin (Virgin), a hit in the U.K. and France in 2016 that was used in the film Everything, Everything and a Chanel commercial, is up 132 slots to #69.

Two covers from Watertower’s Justice League soundtrack—Gary Clark Jr. & Junkie XL’s version of The Beatles’ “Come Together” and Sigrid’s take on Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows”—continue to get thumbs hitting the blue button.

Out of nowhere, we have the appearance of Jon Persitz, who manages the studio for music production company, JTN Music. His instrumental “Twerky” is on the rise in the U.S. and the U.K., though where it was used is a mystery. Last year’s X Factor winner Matt Terry is also attracting attention from U.K. Shazam users.
