THE BEACHES AND THEIR BITCHES

If you haven't heard Island's recently signed rock group, The Beaches, yet, get to it, buddy. The all-female, Canadian quartet—made up of sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller, Eliza Enman McDaniel and Leandra Earl—is helping bring hope back to the genre with their stylish (and arguably poppy) take on garage sounds. So don't hold their involvement with these hopeless dweebs against them. Seen desperately trying to up her cool factor is bespectacled HITS Editor Samantha Hissong—donning her best "I've-only-had-three-cups-of-coffee-today" outfit—as well as managers Jon Kalter and Marc Pollack.

The band, seen post-gig with Kalter and Superfruit/Pentatonix members Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi below, opened for Death From Above 1979 at The Novo in L.A. last night. Their vibrant set included an array of body-shaking gems from their debut full-length, Late Show, which dropped last month.
