ARNOLD IS REPUBLIC'S NEXT-GEN A&R STAR

Republic’s Tyler Arnold, who’s credited with identifying and signing Post Malone, has been given his VP A&R stripes by EVP Rob Stevenson.

Arnold, who came to the label as an intern in 2014, also played an integral role in signing producer Metro Boomin and his Boominati Worldwide imprint. He’s currently working on new projects with both artists.

Stevenson held nothing back in announcing the promotion, stating that “Tyler represents the future of A&R. His ear is always to the ground, and once he believes in an artist, he remains steadfast in all efforts. Working with him as he grows into one of the industry’s foremost executives is a true honor.”

“To be working with artists I love at a label I’ve always been a fan of is still a dream come true for me,” Arnold’s official quote reads. “Republic has empowered me to trust my instincts and sign forward-thinking and game-changing artists. Rob, Monte and Avery have been amazing mentors to me, and I am grateful for their continued support and this incredible opportunity.”

A Connecticut native, Arnold began his internship while an underclassman at Northeastern University but left school five months later to take a paid post as an assistant in the A&R department. He was upped to Manager in 2015, holding that title until being given this promotion.
