Performers included Shawn Mendes (joined by collaborators Teddy Geiger and Scott HarrisHalsey (with Kurstin) and "Despacito" co-writer Erika Ender, who led an acoustic sing-along of that blockbuster.

Starrah's two wins were for Secret Genius of the Year: Female and Secret Genius: Hip Hop. Kurstin got the pop win.
