The latest in Taylor's arsenal of promotional tactics appears to be The Swift Life, a social networking app she's said will be available sometime at the end of 2017. The app will offer exclusive content and even more fan engagement from Taylor.
The Big Machine superstar released a video (below) that demonstrates the app's core functions, like interacting with friends and fellow fans, playing music, accessing videos and photos and adding effects to photos. There are even rumors of "Taymojis," a Taylor-themed collection of emojis and stickers, being part of the deal.
Taylor's partnered with with Glu, an app-developer known for partnering with celebrities like Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian. It's not yet apparent if in-app purchases will be part of The Swift Life experience, nor how much the app itself will cost. But for perspective, Glu Mobile CEO Niccolo de Masi said in February 2016 that Kardashian's hit game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, brought in $100m since its launch in 2014, and that app is free to download to smartphones and tablets. However, users can spend money on virtual goods like private planes and on dressing and styling their avatars with virtual clothing and accessories. Obviously, this knowledge has been garnered from the many hours we spend doing so.
