AT THE OPRY, ERIC CHURCH REFLECTS
ON VEGAS, PLAYS HEARTBREAKING
NEW SONG

"I didn't want to be here tonight. I didn't want to play guitar," an emotional Eric Church told the crowd at the Grand Ole Opry on 10/4. But the EMI Nashville star, who had performed at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Vegas—his last show of the year—revealed that he'd seen a clip of a woman in his tour T-shirt whose husband, a huge Church fan, had died in the attack. "We have tickets for the Grand Ole Opry tomorrow night," the woman revealed. So Church picked up his guitar after all, and played this powerful new song, "Why Not Me?" It starts around the five-minute mark.
