BAY-SCHUCK TO JOIN CORSON AT WARNER BROS.

It now appears Aaron Bay-Schuck will be joining Tom Corson as co-head of Warner Bros. Records. This was reported by Tim Ingham’s Music Business Worldwide Tuesday and confirmed by our sources.

The Interscope President of A&R has certainly been the subject of significant chatter recently (as was chronicled in a recent “Big Ballers” I.B. Bad column), and like Corson’s, his deal is up next year. If the rumors are true, it adds up to quite a coup for WMG’s Max Lousada, who steps into his new role as head of recorded music next week.

Bay-Schuck, 36, joined Interscope in 2014 after having worked with head John Janick at Atlantic, where he had signed Bruno Mars and worked with Flo Rida, Cee Lo Green and other hot acts. Shortly after arriving at Interscope, he oversaw Selena Gomez’s first album for the label; he brought in an array of top producer/writers and helped power the album to a #1 bow. He accomplished a similar feat with Gwen Stefani’s chart-topping 2016 set. He and Janick also prevailed in a competitive derby for hot vocalist Daya.
