U.K. MIDWEEKS: WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

The Killers lead the race the #1 on the midweek Official Albums Chart as Wonderful Wonderful (EMI) is dwarfing the competition with 40k combined chart sales. Sam Smith's new Capitol single, meanwhile, is looking at a third week at #1.

Wonderful Wonderful, The Killers' fifth studio album, would also be their fifth title to hit #1 and its sales/streams count is four times ahead of their nearest rival, Foo Fighters' Concrete and Gold (Columbia), which has slipped one place to #2.

The Top 10 is packed with new arrivals. Enter Shikari's The Spark (Play It Again Sam) is #3, Van Morrison's 37th studio album Roll With The Punches (Exile) is #4 and Black Country Communion’s BCCIV (Mascot) is #5.

The Horrors' V (Wolf Tone/Caroline) is #7, Marc Almond, who had Top 10 album earlier this year, is at #8 with Shadows and Reflections (BMG) and Reverend and the MakersThe Death of a King (Cooking Vinyl) are #9.

On the singles side, Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes” faces competition from Post Malone’s “rockstar” (Republic), which has climbed to #3 from 5. Dua Lipa's “New Rules” (Warner Bros.) holds at #2.

CNCO and Little Mix's “Reggaeton Lento” (SYCO) remix is up one spot to #5 Camila Cabello'sHavana” (SYCO) is up to #6, and Avicii and Rita Ora's “Lonely Together” (Positiva) rises two slots to #8.
