FANTASY FULFILLED
Sony Music has released Nile Rodgers’ update of one of George Michael’s B-sides six weeks ahead of the re-release of Listen Without Prejudice Vol.1/MTV Unplugged.
In early 2016, Michael selected Fantasy as the single to launch the reissue of Listen Without Prejudice Vol.1/MTV Unplugged and contacted Rodgers to update the track.
Michael recorded the track in the late ‘80s with the intention of including it on his second solo album, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1. It was released as the flip side of his “Freedom! ’90” single in the U.S. and “Waiting for That Day” in the U.K.
Sony will re-release Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 on 10/20 and include with it his MTV Unplugged performance recorded in London in 1996.
