WHAT "LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO" HAS DONE ALREADY

Taylor Swift’s new Big Machine single is off to a strong start, to say the least, at both radio and retail.

In the overnight—between midnight on the East Coast and when the iTunes store turns over on the West Coast—“Look What You Made Me Do” was downloaded nearly 100k times. That represents more than a 20% increase vs. the overnight for “Shake It Off,” Swift’s first blockbuster single from her previous album, 1989. “Shake It Off” went on to be downloaded 544k times in its first week. Indeed, “Look” will the first song in 15 weeks to knock “Despacito” out of the best-selling-track spot.

At radio, at only 12 hours in, the song is #36 on the Mediabase real-time Top 40 chart. Its premiere on iHeart today will offer 20m total audience spins on 140 Pop and AC stations.

So, yeah: It’s big. How big? We’ll see very soon. Stay tuned for streaming and other updates.
