The potential for an immersive experience to electrify fickle teens has dollar signs dancing in many industry melons. But how big an impact is VR likely to have, and how soon?
While undeniable strides have been made, several managers—including a couple representing acts particularly positioned to benefit from VR—feel the tech isn’t quite ready yet. Says one rep, "I'm for it in principle, but so far I wouldn't want my artists associated with most of what's out there." How much longer before we're virtually there?
