COLUMBIA UNCORKS VP, SALES POST
FOR GALLO

Columbia Records has upped Joe Gallo to VP, Sales; in his new post he’ll work closely with EVP/GM Joel Klaiman and other senior execs and report directly to Sony Music EVP/GM of Sales Darren Stupak.

Gallo, most recently Senior Director of Sales, will be responsible for frontline sales and managing commercial partner relationships, as well as catalog initiatives and developing new opportunities and expanding non-traditional sales.

"We are very happy to have Joe taking on this expanded role," reads an internal note from Stupak to staff. "He is an accomplished member of the Columbia sales team, and his vision and strong leadership skills will help us continue to grow the business for our artists and account partners."

Joe is unrelated to our own Phil Gallo, whose idea of sales is when the Indica joints at the dispensary are 50% off.
