A BILLION IN PANDORA'S BOX

Pandora’s Artist Marketing Platform is being expanded to help artists break new music and personalize their presence on the service. The expansion comes as its Artist Audio Messages have crossed the 1 billion plays mark.

It's a major milestone for the service, which has concentrated considerable resources on artist promotion and visibility of late.

New advanced targeting for Artist Audio Messages and Featured Tracks leverages listener data to help artists reach their fans more effectively.

Among the offerings are:

Promote Show, which leverages the power of Artist Audio Messages to drive ticket sales to individual shows by allowing artists to customize flight dates, ticket purchase links, and geo-target their messages.

Promote Single offers a seamless way to tether an Artist Audio Message to a Featured Track.

Featured Tracks have been ramped up to leverage listener data and place a track on proper stations, resulting in more engagement and opportunities for discovery.

Pandora introduced AMP in late 2014, Artist Audio Messages in early 2015 and AMPCast early last year. Pandora listeners have played Artist Audio Messages 1 billion times.

In a related story, Kremlin-affiliated publicist Rob Goldstone is working on a new station especially for those intimate evenings at the Moscow Ritz-Carlton.
