Metro Boomin, whose work as a producer can be credited as one of the foundations in mainstreaming the explosive movement of trap music, announced his debut single as a solo artist called “No Complaints," featuring Offset & Drake; it's the first single to be released under Metro's newly formed label Boominati Worldwide, in partnership with Republic Records and Universal Music Group.
"Launching Boominati Worldwide is the next step in my career as a producer, an artist, and a businessman," explains Metro, “I created the label to represent a collective of highly gifted individuals who have the shared gift of being able to influence the world through culture and art."
Republic Co-Founder and C.E.O. Monte Lipman added,, “Metro Boomin is a franchise player who’s captured the imagination of the music community in a very short period of time. His amazing talent, competitive spirit, and natural charisma will serve as the cornerstone of success for Boominati Worldwide. You know what? That name would look great on the side of a helicopter."
Seen spitting rhymes about the long-overdue deli tray are (l-r) Monte Lipman, SVP Urban A&R, Republic Naim McNair, Uwonda Carter of The Carter Law Firm, Metro Boomin, managers Dan Friedman and Rico Brooks, Republic A&R Tyler Arnold, UMG topper Sir Lucian Grainge and UMG EVP Biz & Legal Affairs Steve Gawley.
