Halsey’s second album, hopeless fountain kingdom (Astralwerks), assumes the throne at iTunes as one of nine rookies on the album chart on flipover Friday. It’s playing well at Apple Music, too: At #13, it’s the highest charting full-length among the new arrivals.
Luke Combs first full-length, This One’s for You (River House/Columbia Nashville), opens at #2 followed by Alt-J’s third album Relaxer (Infectious) #3. The seventh album from All Time Low, Last Young Renegade (Fueled By Ramen), drops in at #4.
Cartoon Network’s soundtrack Steven Universe, Vol. 1 orbits at #5 while raunchy country singer Wheeler Walker Jr.’s Ol’ Wheeler (Pepperhill) dives in at #6.
The second album from Jack Antonoff’s Bleachers, Gone Now (RCA), takes a seat at #7.
Classic rock rounds out the list. Roger Waters’ first studio album in more than two decades, Is This the Life We Really Want? (Columbia), settles in at #8 and the super deluxe edition of U2’s The Joshua Tree (Island)—it has 38 bonus tracks—is #9.
Fifth Harmony f/Gucci Mane’s “Down” (Syco/Epic) is up to #2 on the singles side, where Internet sensation Jake Paul is #7 with “It’s Everyday Bro” (Team 10).
New arrivals at Apple Music include PARTYNEXTDOOR’s four-song EP Colours 2 (OVO/Warner Bros.) at #7, and with four songs released, 2 Chainz’ Pretty Girls Like Trap Music (Def Jam) at #9.
