JOSS STONE'S SOUL DEBUT GETS THE VINYL TREATMENT

Soul Siren Joss Stone's debut album The Soul Session Volume 1 has been reissued on vinyl via UMe. Her debut LP is features renditions of songs previously rendered by soul-music greats like Aretha Franklin, The Isley Brothers and John Sebastian. The record was co-produced by S-Curve Records' Steve Greenberg and singer Betty Wright.

Stone's career was jump-started by her audition with Greenberg in 2001, which earned her a spot on S-Curve's roster.

The album featured tracks like "Fell In Love With A Boy", (Stone's cover of The White Stripes' "Fell In Love with a Girl"), and her take on Sugar Billy's "Super Duper Love" both of which reached the Top 20 in the U.K. Soul Sessions Part 1 was certified gold within its first six months, and is now nearing platinum certification in the U.S.

For his part, Greenberg will be rocking the wheels of steel for the foreseeable future.
