FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Linkin Park’s first album in three years, One More Light (Warner Bros.), comes in at #1 at iTunes on today’s flipover Friday while Liam Payne f/Quavo’s “Strip That Down” (Republic) dons the #1 slot on the songs side. Wednesday’s death of Chris Cornell continues to have a heavy effect on the iTunes charts.

The opening act for Linkin Park’s stadium dates, Blink-182, see the Deluxe edition of their 2016 release California (Viking Wizard Eyes/BMG) open at #3. Rascal FlattsBack to Us (BMLG) is #4.

Seven years after his last album, David Banner returns with The God Box (A Banner Vision) unsealed at #6. Papa Roach’s ninth album, Crooked Teeth (Eleven Seven), drills in at #7.

Selena Gomez is sitting pretty in the singles side with “Bad Liar” (Interscope) at #3.

Released Tuesday, Revenge’s XXXTentacion (Bad Vibes Forver/Empire) is the highest charting rookie on Apple Music’s albums chart, coming in at #13. And with just three of its tracks released, Columbia’s Calvin Harris sees his Funk Wave Bounces Vol. 1 spring to #17 seven weeks prior to its release.

Fans of Cornell, who died Wednesday, are refilling digital collections at a steady pace. Soundgarden’s Superunknown (A&M) and Audioslave’s self-titled Interscope release occupy positions 2 and 5, while another 10 Cornell-related titles occupy slots 11-40. Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” is #3 and “Fell on Black Days” is #13 on the songs chart while Audioslave’s “Like a Stone” is #6 and “I am the Highway” is #23.
