THE VOICE RISES ON iTUNES

The Voice is down to its final eight and four of Monday night’s performances are sitting in iTunes Top 10 today. Leading the charge is Lauren Duski’s cover of Shenandoah’s 1990 hit “Ghost in This House.”

In complimenting Duski’s performance, her coach Blake Shelton said he was looking forward to seeing how country fans would respond to the performance at a buck-29 a pop. Looks like he knows a hit when he hears one.

The Republic Records-released titles include Chris Blue’s take on the gospel tune “Take Me to the King” at #2 and his duet with Vanessa Ferguson on a song by their coach, Alicia Keys, “If I Ain’t Got You” at #6. Aliyah Moulden’s cover of MercyMe’s “I Can Only Imagine” sits at #7. Moulden’s duet with Hunter Plake of James Bay’s “Let it Go” is docked at #18.

Duski’s duet from the episode, a cover of the Waylon & Willie classic “A Good Hearted Woman” with Brennley Brown, is #24.

Four of the contestants will be sent home on tonight’s telecast on NBC.
