RCA superstar Miley Cyrus has dropped a new single, "Malibu," and its accompanying video. The breezy love song is believed to reflect the overall rootsy uplift of her forthcoming full-length set. Take a look and a listen below. Within hours of its appearance, the song hit #1 at iTunes.
The song premiered this AM on Zane Lowe's Apple Music Beats 1 show. "I'm hooked on this record," Lowe said, comparing it to the authenticity and new musical maturity of Harry Styles, and asking rhetorically, "Why can't you change shape?"
The versatile singer/songwriter will make a special appearance at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango on 5/13 and NBC's Today Show's Summer Concert Series on 5/26; she's also set to perform at iHeart's Summer 17 weekend on 6/9-10 in Miami. More performances are TBA.
