FAGEN PLOTS SUMMER SOLO RUN

Donald Fagen will be taking a busman’s holiday this summer after wrapping the Steely Dan Las Vegas residency this month and playing the Classic West and Classic East festivals in L.A. and New York in July.

Having earned their stripes playing haunts, joints, dives and a few reputable establishments in New York’s Hudson River Valley and beyond, Fagen and The Nightflyers are hitting the road in August. There are no stops scheduled in Annandale.

Keyboardist-singer Fagen, the co-founder of Steely Dan and The Dukes of September, says the band will play will play songs from his solo albums, Steely Dan hits and “some swell surprises.” Fagen’s band is Connor Kennedy (guitar, vocals), Lee Falco (drums, vocals), Brandon Morrison (bass, vocals) and Will Bryant (keyboards, vocals).

The tour starts 8/3-4 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., and includes stops at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on 8/20, Austin’s ACL Live at Moody Theater on 9/2 and The Masonic in San Francisco on 9/16.
