NEW U.K. DEALS: STEFFLON DON, CONDUCTA

Hotly tipped British grime artist Stefflon Don (pictured, right), who counts Drake as a fan, has signed her label V-IV London to Universal Records, and then signed herself. Don joins two other newly inked deals in Blighty this week.

After signing a publishing deal with Guy Moot’s Sony/ATV U.K., Don released her debut mixtape last year; she’s worked with fellow Drake tip Giggs, plus Jeremih, Section Boyz, Lethal Bizzle and Abra Cadabra.

Don has been tipped for big things this year and was named in the BBC's Sound Poll, i-D's Class of 2016 and MTV's Brand New lists for 2017. Her latest video “16 Shots” has had over 2m views on YouTube over the last month. She’s the first artist to sign to V-IV London (pronounced 54 London).

Over at Warner Music U.K., Bristol garage producer Conducta has signed to Shaurav D’Silva’s newly launched urban and dance imprint—2TE Records. He’s managed by Gil Hogarth at SEG Music.

Finally, Welsh classical/crossover singer Katherine Jenkins has joined the roster of Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee’s Modest! Management. She’s signed as an artist to Universal imprint Decca.
