RIHANNA'S READY FOR HER CLOSE-UP

Having completely conquered the worlds of music and fashion, Rihanna clearly has plans to accelerate the next level for her career: movie star.

The Westbury Road/Roc Nation/Def Jam singer recently wrapped filming her role in the future blockbuster Ocean's Eight which comes out in June of this year, co-starring alongside Hollywood heavyweights Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock.

Now comes news that Amazon Studios has just acquired the distribution rights for Annette, a music-filled drama that teams her up with Girls/Star Wars: Episode VIII leading man Adam Driver.

Amazon Studios recently won three Oscars for Manchester by the Sea and The Salesman.

According to Variety, filming will begin this spring across several international locations, including Los Angeles. The movie is set to feature original songs by alt-rock band Sparks.
