SNOOP ADDED TO SXSW CRIMINAL JUSTICE PANEL

Snoop Dogg has been added to South By Southwest’s Artist to Advocate: Fighting for Criminal Justice panel. He joins Weldon Angelos (Extravagant Records), Vikrant Reddy (Charles Koch Institute) and Mark Holden (Koch Industries).

The panel focuses on hip-hop label owner Angelos and his odyssey through the criminal justice system. He was caught in 2002 with less than $1,000 worth of marijuana but was given a mandatory sentence of 55 years in prison. He was released in 2016, when his prosecutor had a change of heart. Weldon will describe his prison experience and how artists can work together to achieve lasting reform. The panel will be held 3/18 at 2pm in the Austin Convention Center in Room 18ABCD.
