GILLYARD'S NEW GIG

It was just announced that Shelly Sumpter Gillyard has been promoted to EVP of Talent, Music and Events at the Nickelodeon Group. The 19-year Nick veteran's duties now include overseeing talent relations across live TV events, music and live-action programming for all Nick-related brands.

Gillyard, who has a real knack for building partnerships in the worlds of film, music, TV and sports, has an array of responsibilities, but has notably been key in digging for new talent, as well as putting together lineups for events like the Kids’ Choice Awards, Kids’ Choice Sports and Nickelodeon HALO Awards.

In this new role, she will continue to report to Nickelodeon Group President Cyma Zarghami. Prior to this announcement, Gillyard served as VP of Talent. She first joined the company in 1997 as a manager.
