WMG’S RON WILCOX APPOINTED TO SOUNDEXCHANGE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SoundExchange announced today the appointment of Ron Wilcox, of Warner Music Group, to its Board of Directors. His appointment took effect 1/1/17, and he replaces SME’s Jeff Walker on the 18 member board.

Wilcox, who serves as executive counsel, business affairs, strategic and digital initiatives for WMG, said “this is an exciting time for our industry, with the uptake of streaming driving encouraging growth. SoundExchange has a vital role to play in helping to sustain that growth and to ensure the digital opportunity continues to expand for artists and rights-holders.
