U.K. CHARTS: IT’S ALL GONE PETE TONG

UMG’s Pete Tong compilation Classic House—in its ninth week on sale—has earned the British DJ his first #1 on the U.K. Albums Chart. Ed Sheeran’s two singles on Atlantic, meanwhile, now boast 474k downloads and 59.4m streams between them. Just picture that paycheque...

The La La Land soundtrack (Polydor) has its upped its midweek position to finish 3k sales behind Pete Tong at #2, while Little Mix’ Glory Days (Syco) is up again to #3.

Mike Oldfield’s 11th Top 10 release, Return to Ommadawn (Virgin EMI), is the highest new entry at #4, followed by last week’s #1, The xx's I See You (Young Turks) at #5.

Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes debut at #7 with indie release Modern Ruin, while Loyle Carner's debut album Yesterday's Gone (Virgin EMI) bows at #14. Sheeran's “Shape of You” tallies 56k downloads and 9.57m streams to stay at #1 on the Official Singles Chart for a third week, followed by “Castle on the Hill” with 46k downloads and 6.6m streams.

“You Don’t Know Me” (Polydor) by Jax Jones and Raye moves up one place to #3, “Touch” (Syco) by Little Mix is up two places to #4, while Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human” (Columbia) moves down to #5.

Last week’s highest new entry, "Paris" by The Chainsmokers (RCA), ascends three spots today to #7. Outside the Top 10, Sean Paul f/Dua Lipa’s "No Lie" (Island) hits a new peak at #11, rising 10 places.
