BRUCE GIVES OBAMA
A SEND-OFF SHOW

Bruce Springsteen made a final trip to the Obama White House on 1/12 to perform a 15-song acoustic set for about 250 members of the Obama Administration, the Springsteen site Backstreets reported.

The performance in the East Room was a “thank you” for the current administration. President Barack Obama and Michele Obama sat in the front row along with Patti Scialfa, who joined her husband for a couple of songs.

Springsteen kept the mood “elegiac” according to the Backstreets observer, performing "Working on the Highway," "My Hometown," "My Father's House," and "Devils & Dust." He spoke between most of his song, noting how "Born in the U.S.A." will continue to be misunderstood, dedicating "Tougher Than the Rest" to the first couple.

Here’s the full report and set list.
